Turning a page in a book: this sound has crackling sound when the page turns. Recorded using the zoomh4n and the rode ntg1 condenser shotgun microphone. No processing has been done to this sound. The book used was math textbook.
Getting a book out of the library and opening it. Flipping through it and turning the pages. Reading with the finger on one page. Browsing through all pages at once (like a flicker book). Searching for a page. Closing it and putting it back in the library.

A shower is turned on and a person starts whistling while showering. After a while the shower is turned of and you hear a sound from the shower curtain.

It actually wasn't cutting anything but it is the sound of an electric hair trimmer being turned on, running and turned off; then placed on the counter. I held it in my hand and turned it this way and that to emulate the sound that may be made during use.
